  1. Hello 4/5P,

The two interesting facts I learnt were:

    1. The word ‘Tsunami’ in Japanese means ‘Harbour Wave’.

    2. Tsunami’s has several waves with each one arriving 10 – 60 minutes after the first strike.

Have you ever experienced to be in a Tsunami?

    Bye for now,

  2. Hi 4/5P,
People had to evacuate from the Tsunamis because the water come up to the bank, but they were all worried!

  5. Hi 4/5P its Mia,
I really think it is devastating how many places Tsunamis can hit at the one time.

Two facts you learnt about the video:
    1. A Tsunami is usually caused by an Earthquake.
    2. Some Tsunamis come with no warning.

What would you do if you were in a Tsunami?

    bye for now Mia.

  6. Hello,

I didn’t know that Tsunamis are unpredictable. Tsunamis can go to a mile up the beach.

What do you know about Tsunamis?

    Bye for now,
    Bradley

  7. Hi 4/5P
If a tsunami comes go to higher ground. You can not outrun a tsunami, a car can only just outrun it.
My question is……… What was the deadliest tsunami that ever happened?
    Tyler

  8. Hi everyone,

  9. Hi 4/5P,

If there is a Tsunami warning you must go onto higher ground and wait until theres a alert that the tsunami has passed.

Under the sea the two big plates crash together to make an earthquake on land but in the sea it makes a giant wave.

  10. Hi 4/5p and world,

F1. Do you now in Japan they don’t call Tsunamis like in Aust they are called Harbor waves.

F2. When 2 titanic plates connect together 500 miles per hour can reach a few feet, but when waters reach shallow waters friction with ocean floors, lower waves speed and raises height which can engulf 10 storey buildings.
Where is the Pacific tsunami warning centre situated?

    ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ bye for now Natasha ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

  11. Hello 4/5 P,

Tsunamis look very scary. Japan has been hit by many Tsunamis in it’s time because of it’s location. A Tsunami is made by an earthquake under the ocean. A series of waves expands in all directions. I wouldn’t like to live in Japan.

    Bye for now,
    Kayla

  12. Hi Everyone,

    Two interesting facts are:
.Tsunami in Japan means Harbour Wave.
.Unlike a normal wave a Tsunami never rests.

I really liked the video so I put some more facts down! πŸ™‚

. The biggest recorded Tsunami was one that started in Indonesia and went all the way to Africa.
. It is a scientist job to alert anyone near the Tsunami to get to higher ground and be prepared for the damage

Thank you for reading my comment,
    Roma

  13. Hi 4/5 P,
