Fortune Cookies

Some of the fortunes in our fortune cookies read:

“Live by what you trust, not by what you fear.”
“The sum of human knowledge is not contained in any one language.”
“The best way to keep your friends is to never owe them anything, and never lend them anything.”
“You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.”
“Don’t race to your destination – appreciate the scenery.”
“An overcrowded chicken farm produces fewer eggs.”
“A helping hand is no farther than at the end of your sleeve.”
“Confucius say – ‘Study without thought is vain; thought without study is dangerous’.”

What do you think they mean?
If you were to write a fortune for a fortune cookie, what would it say?

  1. Hi everybody,

This is what we think don’t race to the destination appreciate the scenery means: we think it means don’t rush just enjoy it along the way. We think if we were to write a cookie we would say treasure the things you have, don’t leave them behind.

  2. Hi it’s Brent,
The chinese food was pretty good. The jelly was my favouite. What was your favouite thing? I wonder if we will try some more food? Got to go.
    Bye for now
